In all the ancient schools known as mystery schools, the mandate of silence, of secrecy, was taken seriously. There are no personal records of the mystery schools of Persia, Greece or Egypt. No one from the Alexandrine school, or from Afghanistan, mention anything at all about the school.
Many of our founding fathers were Freemasons, and that is why the United States inherited the symbol on the dollar bill. Even the Freemasons are quiet about their training. You may have wondered about the great pyramid of initiation, and the all-seeing eye of awakening.
The Freemasons and their lineage back to Egypt have only recently been described, and at that, in a decidedly watered down fashion.
We have symbols, such as tarot cards or decks of playing cards that are said to be the remnants of devices for remembering the symbolic information of the teaching temples. The evidence is still just shreds. We really do not know. We only speculate about the meaning of the arcana of the tarot.
