Enter the Mystery of the Heart
For centuries, people of many traditions, including the Christian and Sufi, have sought divine union and peace through a symbolic ritual -- a sacrament. That which we have sought in the bread and wine is, of course, real.
This experience is attainable. It is indeed as close as our own breath. When we breathe into the heart center, and bring our attention to its core, we open a gate to the divine, and thereby to each other. Our boundaries soften and we become One with all others.
Once we have learned the secret of opening this internal gate, we do not need to listen to others tell us about it. We have entered into its mystery. We have entered the realm of unconditional love, the place where boundaries can be dropped.
Here we can say, "yes" to life. In this realm of consciousness, we can embrace the divinity in ourselves, in everything our eyes can see, our ears can hear, and our thoughts can touch. This is entering divine union through the centerpoint of the cross, or the essence of oneself, a practice that can transform all of one's life.
